Why is it important?
- Users didn't have an easy way to fill backorders in Logistics Order Management. Through Simplifying the backorder process at the seller level, users now have the ability to move seed from one grower to another to fill a backorder.
Who can fill Backorders?
- COS & Sellers
Backorders Step-by-Step Guide:
When logged into Logistics and on the Orders - Order Management - by product page
1. Click on "Columns" button
2. Select "Convert BO qty"
- If not already done so, click on the "Back Order Qty UN" to add it to the table view and have visibility into which growers have a backorder.
- You will also notice the grower name now showing in red. This indicates that that grower has a backorder.
- Once selected this will auto save to your table, you can always remove the column by unchecking the column name under the "Columns" button
To free up allocation, you can delete a line item or reduce the acres on a different grower.
To fill the backorder, click into the editable field under the "Convert BO qty" column with the available allocation and click "Save"
In the summed up table on top of the screen you will notice a new column header: "Changed Allocation UN"
- This column is a running total of how much of the consumed allocation will change
- If a shipping order is increased or decreased or a new shipping order is created, then the allocation will change
- If a backorder is converted it will consume allocation
